- What is NEMT?
- Non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) is scheduled, non-urgent transportation to medical and care-related destinations for people who can’t easily use standard transportation. It is not ambulance or emergency service.
- Who pays for NEMT in New Jersey?
- For eligible members, NJ FamilyCare/Medicaid covers medically necessary non-emergency transportation. DDD funds transportation for eligible individuals with developmental disabilities.
- How far in advance should I book a ride?
- Recurring routes are set up in advance; individual non-emergency trips are typically booked ahead. Contact us for current scheduling windows.
